Most clients have no idea just how bad their very expensive, Spanish-language ads really are. For that matter it seems that neither do the Hispanic ad agencies or they wouldn’t be producing so many of them.

How would you feel if I told you that most of your TV, radio, print and online Spanish ads are nothing more than translated general market ads? Well, you probably already know that because it’s very likely that you approved or requested the translations yourself.
Translating your general market ads rarely makes for good Hispanic advertising.
Here's why:
Your general market advertising commercials were carefully crafted for a specific audience (Anglos), which is why translating them into Spanish won't make sense. It's like producing half of an ad for the full price; your translated ad will have some legible messaging, but not much.
